Latest image - Self Portrait - made the bridge of my nose too big making my eyes too far apart... otherwise I would say this is pretty close.  10/28/2010 Pencil on paper

My life always seems more at ease when I have art projects on the go.  This is homework assignment #2 of Elaine Flaherty's class at the Fountain CIty Art Center.

...I'm okay with the drawing but my signature is a little less to be desired!

PROJECT 72: Dogwood entry into the 2007 Dogwood Art Festival.  Unfortunately it did not get chosen but feedback constructive.  It was great exposure at the Three Flights Up Gallery on 100 Gay Street.

This model obviously was new and could not sit still.  It made for a wonderful challenge of working fast!  I can't blame her because I find it hard to sit still.  ...And I don't draw with patient slow detailed lines on a regular day anyway.
It is signed SCHULE.  I did this in 2002 at the Fountain City Art Center's Portrait Drawing class.
Pastel Pencils on white drawing paper 20"x30"

Also done at the Fountain City Art Center's Portrait Class.  I didn't think I finished it by the end of class but now I am glad I have left it alone.  I am really happy with how this turned out.  It is very soft.
